Our Mission

Orlando is full of professional game and interactive media developers as well as the organizations that support them. When asked, consistently their number one goal, aside from general growth, is to support each other and communicate more. The biggest obstacles to that dream are awareness of each other and the ability to actually reach out. OGID was born to change that.

OGID is two things:

  • A regional survey meant to be a comprehensive catalog of all the local players and broadcast what they’re up to

  • A Discord community designed to help foster communication between professional developers and associated organizations while creating a space to show off projects, solve problems, and discuss Orlando-oriented news

“Interactive Media” can be a broad category so it’s worth noting our scope, at least to start, is focused on companies of all types that use game tools and hire people who might self-identify as “game developers” (or have that skillset) along with the organizations that make that possible.

OGID is constantly expanding, aiming for more participation and a wider scope. If your company, org, service, school, or event wasn’t surveyed, featured, or categorized correctly reach out through here.
